About the Author
I always loved cats and dogs, and had more cats than dogs. Since grade school I used to dress them off and on. For 40 years I taught Physical Education, and after retirement I decided to dress this pussycat we had had for several years. We moved to an area where there are wild animals, so we taught Tiger to walk on a leash (he got several walks per day!).
My housemate and I for about ten years made calendars, with all the photos of Tiger dressed and/or doing various activities. I think he enjoyed this, also. After several years I decided to make a book to remember him and our fun times together.
I have traveled around the world and had fun taking pictures of cats everywhere. I take a bag of dry cat food to feed many homeless kitties
About the Book
Dress Your Cat is all about how to have fun with your pussycat. The various settings and costumes reflect what Weismeyer herself would like to do. Tiger, the model, was very tolerant and cooperative in getting dressed up and posing. Sports is a main theme as Weismeyer has a forty-year career in teaching Physical Education. All photos were taken near the author’s home on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. Weismeyer’s travel photography has appeared in various publications such as USA Today, International Travel News, AAA Western edition, as well as local newspapers.
